The set back

Had to do the inevitable. Met with the spine doctor aka spine surgeon

Not good. My curves are 57 & 47

His recommendation is surgery. Said should do now while young

I just kept saying there has to be another way.  He said there really isn't

I left with the agreement that we would re-X-ray in a year and if held we would do in another year.  He did say I had time because it wouldn't get worse overnight but it would get worse

:(:(:(:(:(

  1. I went through this with a surgeon consult when I was 19, when I went back for the year update he said my curve HAD advanced and I needed the surgery. I went to a chiropractor as a last ditch effort and took all my x-rays with me. The chiropractor told me they can exaggerate the measurement based on how they line up the tools on your xray, my curve was pretty much the same after a year. He did a full examination and found that my problems originated in my hips, they were rotated and misaligned. That only took a few weeks to correct and in over 10 years my curve has not advanced one bit. Hang in there, I know it's scary!
